SJMSOM Admissions Fever 2012

MBA admission season begins and the excitement is at a fever pitch, with CAT results declaration only three days away. Admission into the country's top MBA institutes has always been tough. This time, it has just gone up a few notches. As the IITs together decided to do away with JMET for admission to its MBA courses, and adopt CAT as the qualifying exam, the battle will be between over 2 lakh candidates for a precious 120 seats at Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay. As the competition tightens and format and nature of the qualifying exams get more challenging year on year, at SJMSOM, the admission process gets tweaked and fine tuned to select only the cream of the students. The rigorous and tasking admission procedure begins from as early as January and only ends in July, with the starting of classes. Lot of hard work and brainstorming by Admissions Team, the faculty, the office staff and the volunteers, go into the whole of these 7 months as a result of which, not only students who eventually make it into the college, but all students who get in touch with SJMSOM, remark that it is one of the smoothest processes that they have been through.
